About The Position

SmartAsset is a leading online destination for consumer-focused financial information and advice, aiming to help people make smart financial decisions. SmartAsset also operates the SmartAsset Advisor Marketing Platform (AMP) to connect consumers with fiduciary financial advisors. This position is posted on a continuous basis, with applications reviewed and evaluated ongoingly. The Account Executive sales team is a national group of over 50 inside sales professionals and sales managers. The team is expanding to add new business to a rapidly growing client base. Team members are described as hard-working, passionate about sales, the product, and the company, and eager for personal and professional growth.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of full sales cycle experience and/or in a Sales Development role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
  • Experience in an inside sales, cold calling, transactional sales role
  • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Comfortable speaking to and persuading prospective clients on the phone and making 100+ calls per day

Responsibilities

  • Comfortability working in a high volume activity/sales environment and being on monthly quotas
  • Identifying and developing potential new clients through prospecting and cold outreach
  • Providing detailed information to prospective customers and educating them on the features and benefits of SmartAsset’s platform
  • Having a consultative approach with clients by understanding their business needs, explaining ROI and having a strong closing approach.
  • Owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
  • Becoming an expert in the financial advisor industry to better help identify strong advisor prospects who will be a good fit for the Smart Advisor platform
  • Collaborating with company leadership to vet and research different strategies for generating more revenue.
  • Operating with a high level of integrity and able work within organizational Rules of Engagement
  • Staying organized, maintaining contacts and outreach in Salesforce
