About The Position

This is a founding role for a hardcore closer who thrives in the SMB space, focusing on fast cycles, high volume, and transactional velocity. The role involves closing deals from day one and building the sales infrastructure for scalability. The company is building an AI-led approach to commercial insurance distribution, aiming to make humans more effective and improve customer experience. They are experiencing rapid growth, adding approximately 1,000 customers per month and growing 100x since last year. The Account Executive will work directly with founders, without a committee or approval chain, and will own the outcome of their deals. While insurance expertise is not required initially, training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in high-velocity SMB sales (transactional, short-cycle, high-volume)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality and conversion at 100+ calls/day
  • Experience turning sales intuition into scalable systems
  • Comfort with environments where everything changes daily
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for sales automation
  • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate
  • Willingness to obtain required insurance licenses (company will pay for training and licensing)

Nice To Haves

  • Background in SMB-focused companies (insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries)
  • Track record of designing sales playbooks that scale
  • Ex-founder experience building and scaling sales teams
  • Insurance license

Responsibilities

  • Close SMB deals at volume
