About The Position

WPTV, a NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach, is seeking an Account Executive. As an Account Executive, you’ll be the ultimate growth engine for local businesses! Your mission? To help them tap into a world of opportunities with powerful, multi-platform advertising solutions. From Over The Top (OTT) video to SEO/SEM, social media, digital displays, e-mail targeting, and even broadcast TV, you’ll be offering a full toolbox of marketing magic that drives measurable success.

Requirements

  • A BS/BA in a related field is preferred (but if you have the experience, that works too!).
  • 2+ years of sales success.
  • A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Office (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Proficient with virtual communication platforms like Zoom, Skype, WebEx, or MS Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Selling game-changing advertising solutions to local and regional businesses, as well as advertising agencies.
  • Using the Scripps Sales Process (SSP), dive deep into customer needs, craft tailored advertising strategies, and deliver impressive ROI.
  • Selling television commercial airtime and offering innovative digital marketing strategies to maximize exposure across various platforms.
  • Independently hunt down new opportunities, secure appointments, assess client needs, and close deals that grow the business from traditional and non-traditional advertisers.
  • Using data, trends, and negotiation skills to maximize revenue and deliver customized, winning solutions for clients.
  • Building deep relationships with clients, providing top-tier service and turning connections into long-lasting partnerships.
  • Managing media avail negotiations, campaign execution, presentation prep, copywriting, credit applications, and revenue collection.
  • Proactively keeping CRM systems updated, tracking key metrics, and hitting sales goals.
  • Contributing ideas to campaigns by working directly with clients—helping craft stories, visuals, and assisting in production.
  • Keeping client connections strong to ensure repeat business.
  • Keeping CRM updated, resolving media issues, tracking account info, and communicating with leadership.
  • Solving a variety of tasks as they arise.
