About The Position

Viridian Staffing’s Client is looking for an experienced Account Executive to join a fast-growing company in New York City. This is an on-site role, and candidates must be based in or willing to work in the New York City area. Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing is the original staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting high-growth, regulated, and emerging industries. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, developing new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective customers, and helping drive revenue growth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys consultative selling, working with business decision-makers, and helping organizations solve meaningful operational challenges. You should have experience prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing business-to-business sales opportunities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to speak confidently about prior sales performance, quota attainment, and customer relationships. Prior experience in a start-up, founder-led, high-growth, heavily regulated or emerging-market environment is strongly preferred, especially if you have helped take a company, territory, product, or business line from early traction to consistent revenue generation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of business-to-business sales experience
  • Experience in a full-cycle Account Executive or similar revenue-generating role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Prior experience in a start-up, founder-led, high-growth, heavily regulated or emerging-market company strongly preferred
  • Experience helping build a territory, new market, customer base, or revenue function from an early stage is a plus
  • Proven prospecting, discovery, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable selling to business owners, executives, and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and customer conversations at the same time
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-changing environment
  • Must be based in or willing to work on-site in the New York City area

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective business customers
  • Own the sales process from initial outreach through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Build strong relationships with business owners, executives, and cross-functional decision-makers
  • Conduct thoughtful discovery to understand customer needs, priorities, and decision processes
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline notes, and forecasting information in the CRM
  • Partner with internal teams to support a smooth handoff after the sale
  • Help refine sales messaging, customer targeting, and repeatable sales processes as the company grows
  • Represent the company professionally in meetings, calls, events, and other customer-facing settings
