About The Position

Cognisys is a rapidly growing cybersecurity and compliance consultancy, recognized as Vanta's #1 Global Service Partner. We specialize in helping SaaS and technology companies efficiently achieve and maintain compliance with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and PCI DSS. In addition to compliance services, we offer critical cybersecurity solutions including CREST-accredited penetration testing and ongoing vulnerability management. As Cognisys continues its fourth consecutive year of 100% year-on-year growth, we are expanding our global sales team. This Account Executive role is focused on the North American SMB market, aiming to accelerate growth across the US and Canada. The position involves managing your own pipeline and engaging directly with key decision-makers at fast-growing SaaS companies, including founders, CTOs, Heads of Engineering, and Operations leaders.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of closing experience as an Account Executive
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Comfortable selling to SMB and scale-up customers
  • Experience using a CRM such as HubSpot
  • Strong discovery, qualification, and commercial conversation skills
  • Self-starter mentality with excellent organisation and time management
  • Confident communicator, able to build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling compliance, security, or GRC solutions
  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across the North American SMB market
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed agreement
  • Work closely with Vanta's sales team on joint opportunities and co-selling motions
  • Build strong relationships with startup founders, technical leaders, and operators
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting in HubSpot
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to consistently meet or exceed targets
  • Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to shape tailored solutions
  • Take a proactive, problem-solving approach, even beyond your immediate remit
  • Continuously develop your sales craft and cybersecurity domain knowledge
