About The Position

This position requires a self-driven, well organized Account Executive who can exercise decision making skills and time management with little supervision. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Sales. The sales region will be based on need. The Account Executive supports the company with the responsibilities that are included below.

Requirements

  • Prior successful sales experience and customer relations are required
  • Must be customer driven with a positive attitude, show accountability and professionalism
  • Strong computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact when working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects and adapt to changing deadlines
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a safe record
  • Moderate overnight travel is required; up to 50%
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Willingness to cultivate career-growth opportunities and advancement within a progressive, forward-thinking firm with a proven record of steady growth
  • This position is mostly sedentary however some tasks may require lifting, bending or standing

  • Meat/ protein industry experience preferred; passion for food and the outdoors; hunting fishing, cooking

Responsibilities

  • Sell the company’s products to established customers and new prospects
  • Handle entire sales process from proposal to close include entering sales orders; reach or exceed sales quotas
  • Track activity, prepare and maintain sales records for sales leads and account status
  • Fulfill customer needs and develop solutions when problems arise
  • Solicits and maintains contact with current and prospect key accounts, in person and by phone
  • Moderate overnight travel necessary to foster healthy relationships with customers and to encourage future sales growth
  • National travel required to attend trade shows including weekends; set up and tear down of company booth and display
  • Attend special trainingsessions or seminars
  • Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and employee safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned
