About The Position

This role is purpose-built for the rare individual who wakes up every morning with a burning need to get in front of decision-makers, build relationships that last, and close deals that matter. As our Territory Sales Representative for Oil & Gas and Mining, you will carry our lighting tower Mobile Skid Units (MSUs) into the most demanding energy and resource markets in Western Canada. Your terrain is Northern Alberta and British Columbia. Your mandate is simple: own the market, build the pipeline, and close with conviction. You will be the face of our brand at remote job sites, procurement boardrooms, and industry events alike. The oil sands, pipeline corridors, open-pit mines, and remote worksites of Western Canada run 24 hours a day. Temporary power and lighting are not a convenience — they are mission-critical infrastructure. Our lighting tower MSUs solve a real problem for real operators who cannot afford downtime, safety failures, or unreliable vendors. We have built an exceptional product. Now we need an exceptional seller to bring it to the field — someone who understands the culture of these industries and commands respect from the people who run them.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B field sales experience in oil & gas, energy services, industrial equipment, or related sectors in Western Canada.
  • A proven, verifiable track record of new business development — numbers, percentages, rankings, or awards that back up the claim.
  • An established network of contacts across oil & gas operators, EPC firms, pipeline contractors, or oilfield services companies in Northern AB and/or BC.
  • Strong understanding of remote site operations, temporary power/lighting needs, or mobile equipment rentals and sales.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills — you know when to push and when to pause.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and a disciplined approach to sales data hygiene and forecasting.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively across the territory, including remote site visits.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into mining operations — open pit, underground, or surface — in BC, AB, or other Canadian markets.
  • Familiarity with mobile skid units, power generation equipment, temporary lighting systems, or related products.
  • Existing relationships with procurement and operations leads in major oil sands, SAGD, or northern pipeline projects.
  • CSTS, H2S Alive, or other site safety certifications that allow immediate site access.

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively prospect, cold-call, and hunt new business across oil & gas operators, EPC contractors, pipeline companies, mining operations, and site construction firms throughout Northern AB and BC.
  • Build and own a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities from first contact through close — with discipline, CRM rigor, and a relentless follow-through mentality.
  • Leverage an existing network of site supervisors, procurement managers, operations leads, and project managers to fast-track conversations and compress sales cycles.
  • Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, and on-site assessments to understand customer needs and position our MSU lighting towers as the obvious solution.
  • Develop and execute territory account plans with clear revenue targets, activity metrics, and competitive positioning strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with precision — protecting margin while delivering undeniable value to clients.
  • Partner with operations and logistics to ensure seamless delivery, deployment, and customer satisfaction post-sale.
  • Report accurately and consistently on sales activity, pipeline health, forecasting, and market intelligence.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry associations, and key customer events in the oil, gas, and mining sectors.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities in adjacent markets including mining, forestry, construction, and emergency response where lighting tower MSUs deliver high value.

Benefits

  • A competitive base salary paired with an uncapped, performance-driven commission structure that rewards exactly the behavior we want — more activity, more closed revenue, more earning power.
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and an RRSP matching program.
  • A truck/vehicle allowance and full expense coverage for field activities, travel, and entertainment.
  • A lean, fast-moving organization where decisions get made, resources get allocated, and your wins get recognized.
  • Direct access to senior leadership — your ideas matter and your feedback shapes how we grow.
  • Real advancement opportunity for top performers as we scale our national sales footprint.
