About The Position

This role is for an experienced sales professional with a talent for solving complex challenges in the molecular diagnostics field. The Account Executive will manage medium to large accounts, aiming to exceed sales targets and build lasting relationships with key decision-makers. The position involves expanding networks, identifying new opportunities, and presenting compelling value propositions. A deep understanding of the product line is essential, serving as a trusted advisor and contributing to the quality system. This is a field-based role covering Portland, OR, and surrounding areas including Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, requiring approximately 50% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years relevant sales or equivalent experience
  • Participation in an approved accelerated development, fellowship or rotational program may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting molecular diagnostic testing, including infectious disease, respiratory, and transplantation.
  • Contacting new and existing customers to meet and exceed sales objectives in targeted accounts.
  • Developing new business, growing existing business, maintaining customer relationships, and troubleshooting customer problems.
  • Identifying and developing strategic account plans.
  • Developing and delivering the differentiating message and quantifiable economic value for products and services.
  • Selling the primary differentiation of Roche products.
  • Overcoming and managing objections, and negotiating to obtain sales.
  • Generating demand and maximizing product awareness by working with and providing education and information to customers.
  • Implementing strategic initiatives and plans to facilitate the sales process and productivity.
  • Working with others, as needed or required, to prepare proposals for assigned accounts.
  • Presenting all contract proposals to customers to maximize overall business and profitability, which may require some negotiation.
  • Conducting and organizing necessary territory planning and routing for efficiency.
  • Conducting business analysis and planning.
  • Communicating competitive market information internally.
  • Networking and interfacing with internal colleagues to share information and best practices.
  • Remaining actively involved in industry/customer organizations that impact business.
