Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience in SaaS, Media & Entertainment, Technology, or related sales roles
  • A proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • A strong understanding of the Japanese business environment and relationship-driven sales culture
  • Experience managing strategic accounts and complex sales cycles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong operational discipline and forecasting capabilities
  • Thrive working cross-functionally in a global organization
  • Native or fluent in Japanese with strong English communication skills
  • Proficient with Salesforce

Responsibilities

  • Execute a territory growth strategy aligned with Toon Boom’s global revenue.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, expanding Toon Boom’s presence through strategic customer engagement and ecosystem development.
  • Drive new logo acquisition and expansion opportunities across studios, broadcasters, education institutions, and strategic partners.
  • Develop localized go-to-market approaches aligned with the needs of the Japanese market.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product positioning and strategic planning.
  • Develop and grow relationships with animation schools, universities, and vocational institutions as a distinct revenue segment.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, owning the full cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention, partnering closely with Customer Success and Support to drive strong outcomes and adoption.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and operational discipline within Salesforce.
  • Represent Toon Boom as market leader and ambassador at industry events, conferences, and trade shows across Japan.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to ensure mutually beneficial agreements, in full compliance with local regulations and Toon Boom’s ethical and operational standards.
