About The Position

The Account Development Specialist will work to expand the reach of the field sales team by procuring new customer meetings and RFPs. This role will be aligned with designated representatives of the field sales team to capture new business from regional territory accounts. Responsibilities include broad geographic outreach campaigns, coupled with targeted customer outreach, cold calling, with a focus on new RFP generation.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, or equivalent from two-year college, and 2+ years related experience considered.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Versed in the use of social media tools (LinkedIn, ZoomInfo).
  • Highly organized (ex. “list-oriented” person).
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Salesforce CRM, Pardot, and HubSpot experience preferred.
  • Clinical Research/CRO experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively prospect and generate new business leads to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within existing client accounts to maximize revenue.
  • Outreach via cold calling, LinkedIn, and email to procure New Client Meetings and new RFPs.
  • Prospect for leads via internal and external resources.
  • Utilize social media tools to identify entryways into target companies.
  • Research and verify current records in Salesforce.
  • Assist with tradeshow promotion to customers, including post-show follow up with qualified leads.
  • Provide regular updates on business development activities and progress toward goals.
  • Assist in RFI management and maintenance of the RFI answer library.
  • Other duties as assigned.
