About The Position

The Office of Student Success Programs (SSP) is seeking a dedicated student leader to support the Berklee Scholars Program (BSP) Pre-Orientation initiative. This program aims to create an environment where students can access resources, develop leadership, engage with communities, and build relationships. The Accompanist will play a crucial role in delivering a highly collaborative experience for continuing students during the upcoming Pre-Orientation Program, which runs from Sunday, August 16 to Saturday, August 22.

Requirements

• Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
• Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
• Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
• Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
• A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
• Federal Work Study student may apply.
• In good disciplinary standing.
• Must be located in the U.S.
• Attend in-person all ensemble and/or group rehearsals, and soundchecks led by the Instructor, Performance Director(s), and Producers during Pre-Orientation (Aug 16-22)
• Must be in good disciplinary and academic standing
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Overall Audition Rating of 5 or higher

Responsibilities

• Learns all material assigned by the Instructor
• Attend all ensemble rehearsals, sound checks, and performances on time and for the full duration.
• Keeps an open line of communication with the Performance Director throughout the week.
