About The Position

The Accessory Installer installs a variety of customer-specified accessories on new vehicles made by automotive and heavy equipment manufacturers. The role may involve working with newly released vehicles and technology. Work takes place in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include extreme temperatures, wetness, wind, fumes, dust particles, and drafts. A safety-first environment is emphasized.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to follow detailed written training instructions for accessory installation.
• Willingness to walk and stand for much of the workday.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances of 50 feet, including overhead lifting.
• Ability to climb to and work at heights of up to 15 feet.
• Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to fasten, insert, and remove bolts, machine parts, and pins, and to operate and withstand the impact and vibration of electric and air-powered power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install new vehicle accessories, including remote tailgate locks, lighted running boards, illuminated kick plates, step-rails, splash guards, camper shells, decals, bed liners, and other customer-specified accessories.
• Follow detailed written training instructions for accessory installation.
