About The Position

The Accessory Category Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining Bassett Furniture’s window treatment, wall decor, and mattress programs. The role includes product launch support and inventory replenishment and serves as a liaison between Bassett retail showrooms and window treatment and mattress category vendors. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with three days per week at Bassett’s corporate office in Bassett, Virginia.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with a creative eye.
• Strong multitasking capacity and effective time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Flexibility to travel to stores and furniture markets when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Design and/or retail background.
• Experience in Salesforce or similar operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise new products and programs.
• Create and maintain category cost sheets.
• Implement category sales promotions.
• Provide sales analysis for both categories.
• Answer product questions from the field.
• Assist stores with custom window quotes.
• Manage inventory of stocked mattresses.
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships.
