About The Position

Under the general direction of the Campus Information Security Officer (CISO), the Accessibility Technologist Initiative (ATI) and Compliance Coordinator supports Cal Poly initiatives that ensure digital accessibility and inclusive technology practices across the campus while coordinating privacy and compliance-related operational activities. This role provides professional-level expertise in accessibility technology, digital content remediation, and compliance with federal and state accessibility laws, CSU policies, and institutional standards. This position is eligible for remote work pursuant to Cal Poly’s Telecommuting and Remote Work Guidelines and the CSU policy requiring that all work be performed within the State of California.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred in a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting digital accessibility initiatives within higher education or large public-sector organizations.
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems.
  • Professional certifications or training related to accessibility, inclusive design, or usability.
  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
  • Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
