About The Position

Seeking an experienced Accessibility Compliance and Risk Analyst to support enterprise digital accessibility compliance initiatives. The role focuses on evaluating vendor accessibility documentation, including VPATs and Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs), identifying compliance gaps, and documenting accessibility-related risks to support procurement and governance decisions. This position operates as a senior analyst and subject matter contributor supporting accessibility review workflows, while final risk decisions remain with leadership.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in digital accessibility analysis and VPAT review
  • 3+ years of experience in accessibility risk assessment and documentation
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting and applying: Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 / 2.2), Section 508 compliance requirements
  • Strong experience in technical writing and structured documentation
  • Experience evaluating vendor software/products for accessibility compliance
  • Strong analytical skills to assess compliance gaps and user impact
  • Ability to translate technical accessibility findings into clear business language

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or formal training in: WCAG, Section 508 compliance, Digital accessibility standards
  • Experience in: Higher education, government, or regulated environments, Procurement or governance review processes
  • Familiarity with UX, HCI, or accessibility design principles
  • Strong understanding of digital product evaluation and compliance workflows

Responsibilities

  • Review Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) and VPATs submitted by vendors during procurement and governance processes.
  • Evaluate compliance against accessibility standards including: Section 508, WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 guidelines.
  • Identify incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate accessibility claims in vendor documentation.
  • Assess accessibility limitations in relation to user impact and organizational use cases.
  • Apply structured criteria to classify accessibility risk levels (low, moderate, high).
  • Document findings in clear, standardized, and audit-ready formats.
  • Prepare detailed accessibility risk summaries for leadership review and decision-making.
  • Ensure consistency, traceability, and defensibility in all documentation.
  • Support Technical Review Board (TRB) activities by providing accessibility evaluations and findings.
  • Participate in review discussions as a subject matter expert when required.
  • Clearly separate factual accessibility findings from policy or risk acceptance decisions.
  • Work closely with IT, procurement, compliance, legal, and governance teams.
  • Communicate technical accessibility findings in clear, non-technical language for diverse stakeholders.
  • Support remediation discussions by identifying non-conformance issues and potential impacts.
  • Contribute to improving accessibility review processes and workflows.
