Requirements

1+ year of experience in low-voltage, security, access control, electrical, or structured cabling environments
Basic understanding of wiring, circuits, and electrical concepts
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and installation documentation
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and dependable attendance

Nice To Haves

Experience installing access control systems or electronic door hardware
Experience with CCTV and integrated security systems
Exposure to platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House, Openpath, Avigilon, or Brivo
OSHA 10 Certification
Scissor Lift Certification
Commercial construction experience
Customer-facing service experience

Responsibilities

Install access control devices including card readers, door contacts, request-to-exit devices, electric strikes, and magnetic locks
Assist with the installation of commercial security and access control systems
Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling as needed
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
Troubleshoot wiring issues, device failures, and system performance problems
Support system testing, startup, and commissioning activities
Work closely with project teams to complete projects on schedule
Maintain a professional presence at customer sites
