St. Johns County Facilities Management Department is seeking an Access Control Technician to maintain, repair, install, configure, and troubleshoot the County’s access control, security, and camera systems. The position focuses on low-voltage security technologies, including badge/card readers, video surveillance, intercoms, alarms, gates, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, and communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and County departments. Strong computer skills, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow projects through to completion are important for success in this role. The Facilities Management Department provides comprehensive facilities services including property management and maintenance for all properties and buildings owned by the St. Johns Board of County Commissioners. The department delivers the full spectrum of facilities management services for approximately 2 million square feet of County facilities. These properties range from general administrative offices, and judicial facilities to library and recreational facilities. In addition, the department provides in-house small construction services and project management of building repairs and renovations.
