Requirements

Background in Communications, Environmental Science, Water Resources Management, Civil Engineering, Sustainability, Public Administration, Public Policy, or similar fields
Must possess a valid driverâ€™s license and have access to reliable transportation
Ability to attend in office twice weekly

Nice To Haves

Enrolled in a graduate program from an accredited University in Communications, Environmental Science, Water Resource Management, Civil Engineering, Sustainability, Public Administration, or similar fields
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Experience in public speaking or speaking in small groups is a plus
Familiarity with functions of local, state, and federal government
Familiarity with local water conservation principles and water-efficient landscaping and Florida-Friendly Landscaping
Experience in program creation and/or in-person outreach initiatives
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel skills are a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in both an office environment, remote, and in the field

Responsibilities

Collaborate with System Management and the Communications Coordinator, assisting with research, creation and administration of customer outreach initiatives relating to water conservation, emergency preparedness, and other topics.
Measure program effectiveness and determine areas for increased customer outreach. Create and update data dashboards that track social messaging.
Provide administrative support across several functional teams.
Participate in community events, public hearings, workshops and HOA meetings as needed.
Work with Community Services Team Members to develop and update programs for the Community Services team throughout the state of Florida.
Provide customer support for the different Community Services Representatives throughout the governmental clientâ€™s connection areas.
Review and provide recommendations on utility water conservation practices, drafting social messaging to go along with findings.
Assist in drafting reports or presentations to Management, Board of Directors, stakeholders, and the general public.
Provide research and task handling to cross-functional teams as assigned by management.
