The purpose of Alternatives For Girls' HERizons program is to provide comprehensive after-school and summer services designed to support students in improving academic outcomes, developing essential skills, and fostering aspirations for higher education. The program aims to enhance school attendance, promote positive attitudes toward learning, encourage positive behaviors, and strengthen family engagement to create a holistic environment that nurtures student success. The Academic Coordinator will be responsible for enhancing the academic experience of students enrolled in a community out-of-school time program through targeted academic support to address and prevent learning loss, as well as implementing supportive home-school learning initiatives. This role will focus on building strong relationships with students, educators, and families to promote academic achievement, social-emotional development, and college and career pathways, as well as other duties as assigned.
