The Goodwill Excel Center is a unique educational institution offering adults aged 18-50 the opportunity to earn their high school diploma, obtain in-demand professional certifications, and begin postsecondary education. This role is crucial for supporting student achievement, engagement, and successful progression towards graduation and future pathways. The Academic Success Coordinator (ASC) acts as a student advocate and academic coach, building relationships through advising, goal setting, and implementing strength-based, trauma-informed strategies to overcome barriers. Collaborating with campus and district teams, the ASC ensures a smooth transition from enrollment to graduation and beyond, providing individualized, wraparound support. Key responsibilities include guiding academic planning, monitoring graduation progress, supporting personalized scheduling, and acting as a content expert on credit attainment and graduation requirements. The ASC also serves as the Campus Testing Coordinator, managing all required assessments, and as the designated administrator in charge in the absence of the Campus Director.
