About The Position

The Academic Program Services Consultant (APSC) will be responsible for coordination of course scheduling, course sharing, and curriculum planning across The Ohio State University’s regional campuses: Lima, Mansfield, Marion, and Newark. This role will strengthen academic planning by shifting course scheduling from a reactive, tradition-based process to a proactive, data-informed function aligned with enrollment demand, curricular priorities, fiscal responsibility, and student support needs. The APSC will also optimize academic workflows by building and maintaining a centralized information hub that links enrollment data to fiscal, hiring, and scheduling decisions—reducing email-based siloing, preventing errors, and improving the effective use of instructional resources.

  • Connecting curriculum planning to enrollment viability (including recommendations related to General Education designation, course rotation, course modality, or the modification or removal of persistently low enrolling courses).
  • Establishing a consistent feedback loop with advising to surface recurring scheduling issues and improve the student experience.
  • Building and maintaining a centralized information hub that links enrollment data to fiscal, hiring, and scheduling decisions.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental and vision coverage, with Ohio State paying a significant portion of the cost.
  • Paid time off, including sick and vacation time and 11 holidays.
  • State retirement plan or an alternative retirement plan, both with generous employer contributions.
