About The Position

St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking an experienced, board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join the Hospital Medicine team at St. Joseph Medical Group and Kansas City Physician Care in Kansas City, Missouri. The position involves delivering high-quality inpatient care in a collaborative, physician-led environment focused on clinical excellence and patient-centered care. It is not open to new graduates.

The role offers a 7-on/7-off daytime schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The hospitalist shares call responsibilities and serves as backup for nighttime nurse practitioner coverage. Compensation includes quality incentives, and qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance, a CME allowance, comprehensive benefits, and medical malpractice coverage including tail coverage are also offered.

Requirements

• Board certification in Internal Medicine.
• At least three years of post-residency hospitalist experience.
• MD or DO degree.
• Unrestricted Missouri medical license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current DEA registration.
• BLS or ACLS certification.
• Must not be a new graduate.
