About The Position
St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking an experienced, board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist to provide high-quality inpatient care as part of a collaborative, physician-led team. The role offers a 7-on/7-off daytime block schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with shared call responsibilities serving as backup for nighttime nurse practitioner coverage. The position is not open to new graduates. The compensation package includes quality incentives and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, with eligibility and payout terms discussed during the interview process. Relocation assistance, a CME allowance, comprehensive benefits, and medical malpractice coverage including tail coverage are also offered. The team values clinical excellence, patient-centered care, quality, compassion, and community. Experience teaching or mentoring medical students and residents is preferred.
Requirements
- Board certification in Internal Medicine.
- At least three years of post-residency hospitalist experience.
- MD or DO with an unrestricted Missouri medical license, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Current DEA registration.
- BLS or ACLS certification.
- This position is not open to new graduates.
