About The Position

The Academic Affairs Centre (AAC) at Queen's University assists students with academic concerns, offering a non-judgmental, peer-to-peer approach. The AAC addresses issues such as disputes with marks, TAs, or professors, aiming to be available for every student. It is crucial for the AAC to effectively communicate its message to students in an accessible and informed manner.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all training sessions to become familiar with the department and adhere to the general operations of the department
  • Ensure all marketing materials abide by the Media Centre Visual Identity Standards
  • Seek feedback for the Academic Affairs Centre and implement recommendations
  • Plan and participate in marketing campaigns for the Academic Affairs Centre
  • Work with the Centre Manager to maintain the Academic Affairs Centre 'brand'
  • Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures and ethical standards
  • Maintain timely communication with your direct supervisor
  • Attend and fully participate in all in person and virtual meetings
  • Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively
  • Strive to foster a warm, comfortable and respectful atmosphere
  • Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement
  • Complete other job duties as assigned
