About The Position

Leominster Public Schools is seeking an ABA Tutor for a substantially separate, ABA-based classroom at the middle school level. The role supports students with disabilities and works under the direct supervision of a teacher. The successful candidate is a quick learner, team player, and effective communicator who is passionate about special education and able to connect with students and staff. Salary is commensurate with related experience.

Requirements

• Ability to relate to and work with children with disabilities.
• Excellent integrity, good moral character, and initiative.
• Interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.

Nice To Haves

• Four-year degree preferred.
• Previous experience with Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with instructional and non-instructional tasks as assigned by the teacher.
• Collect data, use student program books, and share updates with staff.
• Help students prepare materials and books.
• Assist the teacher with related clerical work.
• Use computers and/or electronic equipment to fulfill job functions and support remote learning.
• Model positive attitudes, appropriate attire and grooming, and an effective work ethic for students and staff.
• Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs and attend required meetings.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior when working with students, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies associated with the school.
• Protect the confidentiality of records and information acquired through professional duties, and use discretion in sharing information within legal limits.
