About The Position

This role is responsible for the proper and timely completion of aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with the Repair Station's approved ratings and policies. The A&P Mechanic will ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, provide shift turnover information, and notify inspection when tasks require RII action. They will also be responsible for segregating and identifying components, maintaining an adequate set of tools, and performing tasks according to job cards, engineering orders, and maintenance manuals.

Requirements

  • A&P certificate
  • Three years documented/verifiable maintenance experience on transport category aircraft
  • Ability to balance, bend, stoop, crawl, climb, climb stairs, crouch, carry items up to 50 pounds, grasp, kneel, lift items 50 pounds or over, pull hand over hand, push, reach above shoulder, use repetitive motion, sit on average 2 hours per day, stand on average 8 hours per day, walk on average 6 hours per day.
  • Ability to see and follow precise instructions, documents, diagrams, or blueprints.
  • Ability to distinguish color differences.
  • Ability to see and read information via computer screen or other electronic device.
  • Ability to detect distinct, specific noises.
  • Ability to hear if equipment/tools, etc. are operating properly.

Responsibilities

  • Proper and timely completion of tasks in accordance with the Repair Stations approved ratings and the policies and procedures set forth in the manual.
  • Proper completion of all paperwork related to the assigned task.
  • Provide information to the Lead Mechanic for shift turnovers, and entering the information on the NSA-MF-22 form in the absence of the Lead Mechanic.
  • Notify Inspection when task requires, or becomes an RII action.
  • Segregate and identify upon removal all repair station/customer components.
  • Possess and maintain an adequate number and quality of tools necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Ensure all tools are accounted for and/or returned to the tool room at shift’s end.
  • Performance of assigned tasks in accordance with job cards, engineering orders, maintenance manuals and other approved documents.
  • Understand and apply the chapters and sections of the manual that apply to his or her position.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
