About The Position

USAirports is a family-owned, full service FBO that operates 24/7/365 and serves the aviation community in a state-of-the-art facility on the south side of the Frederick Douglass - Greater Rochester International Airport. USAirports provides a full range of amenities and ground support services such as fueling, deicing, hangaring, aircraft maintenance, cargo handling, tie-down, and ramp parking to the airlines, general aviation, and transient aircraft on the airfield. Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Required documentation: valid Driver’s License, birth certificate and/or passport.
Able to pass a 10-year background check, receive and maintain an airport security badge.
Must be able to acquire a customs seal through Customs and Border Patrol
Able to successfully complete pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screens
Excellent dependability, communication, and professionalism required.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Have a broad knowledge of and experience with the maintenance of aircraft of the class, category and type authorized.
Hold an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled, unscheduled, or special inspections in compliance with regulatory authorities and industry standards.
Troubleshoot and perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft, engines and a variety of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components and accessories such as propellers, starters, generators, fuel pumps, hydraulic pumps, actuators, wheels, tires, and brakes.
Troubleshoot and perform structural repairs to airframes, including sheet metal work, riveting, patching, and fiberglass/composite work.
Perform system troubleshooting and operational and functional checks; service oil, fuel, and hydraulic systems; provides nitrogen and oxygen servicing; inspect and repair pitot static systems and battery services.
Make required work order entries for discrepancies and corrective actions.
Remove and install aircraft components. Install optional or added equipment to aircraft.
Perform aircraft engine run and taxi, as qualified, to test system performance. Participate in maintenance test flights for system performance, troubleshooting and alignment.
Understand the operation of various airframe and power plant systems.
Ensure the calibration of all shop test equipment is accurate by using shop calibration records and procedures and report discrepancies to management.
Assist and train other technicians in repair of systems, structures and engines when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
