About The Position

The A&P Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of aircraft by performing detailed inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various aircraft systems and components. This position requires a thorough understanding of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and adherence to strict safety standards to maintain compliance and operational integrity. The mechanic will work closely with engineering teams and pilots to diagnose mechanical issues, implement corrective actions, and document all maintenance activities accurately. The role demands precision, technical expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and avionics systems to minimize aircraft downtime. Ultimately, the A&P Mechanic contributes directly to the safe operation of aircraft, supporting both commercial and private aviation sectors across the United States.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certificate.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing maintenance and repairs on commercial or private aircraft.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance Technology or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced avionics systems and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance tracking systems.
  • Additional certifications such as Inspection Authorization (IA) or specific manufacturer training.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced commercial airline or maintenance repair organization (MRO) environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of aircraft structures, engines, and systems to identify defects or malfunctions.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on airframes, powerplants, and avionics systems in compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools and equipment, and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with pilots, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft readiness and safety before flight operations.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, following established safety protocols and industry best practices.
  • Stay current with technical manuals, service bulletins, and regulatory changes to maintain expertise and compliance.
