About The Position

The A&P Mechanic must accurately repair and perform scheduled maintenance on all airplanes, as well as perform inspections as required by the FAA. This role involves fully analyzing blueprints, drawings, work orders, and sketches to troubleshoot, repair, and install desired products or parts. The mechanic will detect errors and correct them through proper departmental channels, train and lead other employees in proper work techniques, and assist the shop in meeting schedule needs for on-time aircraft delivery to support missions. Responsibilities include inspecting all aircraft parts for damage prior to installation, working effectively with engineering to recommend design enhancements and productivity improvements, operating and maintaining all required ground support equipment, and troubleshooting and repairing all aircraft and customer systems. Prompt and regular attendance is expected.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ of aircraft-related experience or have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform all job tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions.
  • Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations, IPC and ATA codes.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Security Clearance.
  • Must pass a DOT/FAA regulated drug screening.
  • Must be able to obtain a passport.
  • Mechanical and Technical Aptitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior project management experience.
  • Five (5) years’ of aircraft-related experience.
  • Prior training experience on 208B series, B300 series and Pratt & Whitney PT-6 engines.
  • Veteran Status Preferred.
