A&P Mechanics work at USA Jet’s Main Maintenance Base or at outstations. At the Main Maintenance Base, they report directly to Lead Mechanics or the Maintenance Supervisor; at an outstation, they report to Maintenance Control. They overhaul, maintain, and repair airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment, and associated components in accordance with USA Jet and manufacturer manuals, bulletins, and orders. Mechanics perform other tasks assigned by their Lead or Supervisor. The position may involve working near moving mechanical parts and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Noise may be moderate to loud when aircraft are taxiing nearby. The employee frequently walks, sits, stands, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs, reaches, handles items, uses hands and tools, and communicates in person or by phone. The role occasionally requires lifting or moving items weighing 50–100 pounds.
