About The Position

GAL AeroStaff Ltd. is an aerospace staffing company specializing in temporary and permanent staffing for general and technical positions in the aviation and aerospace industry. We are seeking experienced A&P Mechanics to support commercial aircraft maintenance operations in Peru, IN. This is a night-shift position beginning at 5:30 PM, with Thursday start dates.

Requirements

• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required
• Previous hands-on aircraft maintenance experience required
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices, systems, and components
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical documentation
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, remove, and install aircraft components
• Proficiency with aircraft maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to complete maintenance records accurately
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Availability for night shift beginning at 5:30 PM

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Commercial airline or transport-category aircraft maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
• Inspect aircraft systems and components for defects, damage, and proper operation
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems and complete required corrective actions
• Remove, install, repair, and replace aircraft components
• Perform operational and functional checks following maintenance
• Read and follow maintenance manuals, technical data, and work instructions
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately
• Coordinate with inspectors, leads, and technicians while following safety and quality procedures
