About The Position

A&P Mechanics maintain and repair aircraft at USA Jet’s main maintenance base or at outstations. At the main base, the role reports to a Lead Mechanic or Maintenance Supervisor; at an outstation, it reports to Maintenance Control. The work includes overhauling, maintaining, and repairing airframes, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment, and associated components in accordance with USA Jet and manufacturer manuals, bulletins, and orders. Mechanics must sign for work they complete and remain alert to defective, worn, or failed parts and unsafe working conditions. The position also includes housekeeping or repair and maintenance of company property as assigned. Mechanics are expected to participate in USA Jet safety programs and its Safety Management System, promptly report safety concerns, ensure safe work practices, follow applicable occupational safety and health standards, and complete other tasks assigned by a Lead or Supervisor. The role may involve working near moving mechanical parts and outdoors in varying weather, and aircraft taxiing nearby may create moderate-to-loud noise.
