About The Position

The A&P Mechanic (Line Maintenance) is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company-operated aircraft to ensure aircraft are maintained in a safe, airworthy, and mission-ready condition. This position performs line maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and aircraft launch and recovery activities in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate.

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance experience with Embraer EMB-120, Dash 8-200, King Air 300, and/or Twin Otter aircraft.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance, aviation technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with electrical and avionics troubleshooting.
  • Experience performing aircraft structural repairs.
  • Minimum of 18 months of aircraft maintenance experience supporting operations conducted under 14 CFR Part 135.
  • Minimum of 18 months of maintenance experience on similar aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Performs aircraft launch and recovery activities for scheduled and unscheduled flights.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs on assigned aircraft.
  • Performs general aircraft maintenance, including aircraft washing and corrosion prevention and control activities.
  • Completes maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Mechanic, or other authorized maintenance leadership.
  • Accurately documents maintenance, inspections, repairs, and other work performed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company procedures, and maintenance documentation requirements.
  • Completes required documentation for parts removal, installation, and turn-in.
  • Assists other maintenance personnel with aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs as required.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work areas and follows established housekeeping and foreign object damage (FOD) prevention practices.
  • Complies with company requirements for the accountability, control, and proper use of tools, equipment, and aircraft parts.
  • Provides on-the-job training and technical assistance to other maintenance personnel as assigned.
  • Attends required training and actively participates in on-the-job training to maintain and expand aircraft knowledge and technical proficiency.
  • May temporarily perform Lead Mechanic or supervisory responsibilities in the absence of assigned personnel when designated by the Director of Maintenance.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain Required Inspection Item (RII) authorization as determined by the Director of Maintenance.
  • Complies with all applicable safety requirements, company policies, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
