About The Position

The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel is seeking a detailed-oriented and timely candidate to join their accounting team as the Accounts Payable and Cashier Clerk. This role is crucial for maintaining the hotel's financial operations and ensuring accuracy in processing invoices and managing cash. The hotel, a Nebraska Landmark with nearly 90 years of history and part of Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is known for its exceptional hospitality and commitment to creating extraordinary guest experiences.

Requirements

Meet strict time deadlines.
Strong PC/typing skills.
Strong accuracy with numbers and expense coding.
Strong Computer literacy needed, extensive Excel knowledge and ability to understand and use other computer programs.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Associates degree in business or accounting and/or at least 2 years of experience in a similar accounts payable position.

Responsibilities

Maintains Birchstreet purchase orders and invoice reconciliation system.
Processes all regular and Food & Beverage invoices, check requests, and expense reports for the hotel.
Maintains all A/P files with regards to new vendors, expense reports, and check requests.
Verifies daily cash drops and processes daily cash deposits.
Performs associate bank audits.
Assigns associate banks and maintains bank contracts.
Stamps and codes all invoices, check requests, and expense reports for payment.
