About The Position

Responsible for systems related support of the Accounts Payable department. Requires mainframe system experience, including query writing. Responsibilities include Electronic Funds Transfers, IDAAs, Electronic Data Interfaces, system queries, postings and month end close responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Proficient with mainframe applications, queries and data analysis.
  • Experience with Microsoft PC applications, emphasis on Outlook, Excel and Access.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle pressure and work as a team player.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Two- or four- year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • One to three years of related experience preferred.
  • Requires good analytical abilities, resourcefulness and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly reconciliations for high and medium risk accounts including but not limited to AP Trade, Return to Vendor, and Material in Transit.
  • Prepare month end journal entries and resolve issues related to Inter-Division transactions
  • Manage check deposits for USA and Canada, ensuring timely processing and proper documentation.
  • Address and resolve RGA discrepancies with suppliers and PDCs.
  • Generate IDOC reports and resolve IDOC errors for ASI and SAP entries.
  • Prepare and deliver bi-weekly accounts payable payment summary reports to ensure accurate and timely tracking of payment runs.
  • Prepare quarterly reports on Expatriate Total Compensation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform SOX Audit and review as requested.
  • Work on vendors balances and resolve aged items by working with Credit and Returns, Warranty and other departments as required.
  • Run month-end system queries.
  • Perform other duties and accounting functions as assigned.
