About The Position

This is an extra duty position for a 6th Grade Volleyball coach at Scott K6. The role involves developing and implementing an exemplary athletic program that provides the highest quality education and growth opportunities for every student athlete. The coach will work cooperatively with staff, relate positively to parents and community representatives, and demonstrate professional growth. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with school policies, timely completion of records, and care of materials and equipment. The coach will foster positive interactions among student-athletes, promote self-direction, and establish clear standards of behavior and academic performance. Comprehensive knowledge of the sport is required, along with the ability to adapt instruction to individual student needs. The program should be guided by well-structured, long-term planning, and the coach should utilize diverse strategies to enhance student development. Clear communication of fundamental coaching expectations and their significance is essential, as are appropriate and varied coaching techniques. Monitoring student progress and informing appropriate persons is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

Prior coaching experience preferred.
