About The Position
The 5th Grade Teacher at Windemere Park Charter Academy creates an engaging classroom conducive to learning and uses the school’s curriculum and instructional resources to support student academic success. The teacher analyzes student data to inform instruction and works collaboratively with fellow teachers and support staff to meet each student’s goals and individual needs. The role also includes participating in and creating professional development and orientation activities, along with other assigned duties. Windemere Park Charter Academy is located in Lansing, Michigan, serves students in grades K–8, and opened in 1999. The school provides new-staff mentorship, bi-weekly new teacher cohort sessions, weekly grade-level meetings, and ongoing professional development tailored to the NHA/WPCA approach. It also offers access to curriculum, instructional tools, resources, and staff support.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements; National Heritage Academies will support the alternative certification journey.
