About The Position

The Teacher promotes and develops successful learning for students and performs instructional and related duties in accordance with District policies and the terms of the teacher contract. The Teacher maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students. This is a temporary 1.0 FTE position on a 10-month calendar at Free Orchards Elementary School. Internal and external applicants must submit a Talent Ed application, a current resume, and one current letter of professional reference. External applicants must also provide a copy of a current license.

Requirements

• Hold a valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position with the correct endorsement.
• Hold at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient use of computer and Internet-based applications, including email and systems applications.
• Ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District.
• Maintain the integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency in reading, writing, and speaking, as determined by the District screening tool.
