The district describes a supportive work environment with professional development and growth opportunities, a four-day workweek, a 148-day employment contract, and 13 weeks off throughout the year. Candidates with up to four years of experience have a stated salary range of $45,575–$55,475; candidates with four or more years have a range of $47,575–$57,475. These ranges include the district's contracted salary and $8,500 in state-funded Prop 301 money, which is paid separately from the employment contract. Certified teachers may also be eligible for an additional $4,500 in Prop 301 performance pay. Certain critical-needs and annual stipends are described for specific teaching assignments, including math, science, kindergarten, and special education; they are not specified for this 6th grade position. Applicants must have a bachelor's or more advanced degree from an accredited institution, an Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one before the start date, and an appropriate Arizona teaching certificate. An SEI, ESL, or Bilingual endorsement issued by the Arizona Department of Education is required within one year of hire.
