About The Position
Prevail Academy is a K–8 school in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, opened in 2004. The 3rd Grade Teacher works collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet students’ goals and individual needs. The teacher creates an engaging, learning-conducive classroom, implements available curriculum and resources based on student needs, and analyzes student data to guide instruction. The role also includes participating in and helping create professional development and orientation activities, along with other assigned duties. NHA supports eligible candidates through an alternative certification journey.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate professionally with fellow teachers and support staff to meet the goals and individual needs of each student.
- Create, manage, and participate in professional development and orientation activities.
- Create an engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement available curriculum and curricular resources based on students’ needs.
- Analyze and use student data to inform teaching.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
