About The Position

The Future Talent Program offers cooperative education experiences lasting up to six months and involving one or more projects. This role is part of the Global Support Function Division and supports 3D Technologies (3DT) Operations at the West Point lab. The 3DT enterprise team partners with the business to address challenges and develop innovative solutions that make inventing accessible across the company. Its international DevOps team provides services including CAD and 3D printing to help colleagues improve productivity and enable innovation. The West Point 3DT lab is a centralized fabrication site with approximately 50 3D printers, as well as equipment such as a laser cutter, injection molder, and post-processing equipment. The lab develops hundreds of projects each year, making effective knowledge transfer and operational efficiency important. The co-op will primarily provide operational support, including managing printer queues, troubleshooting and improving printers, integrating equipment, and identifying and documenting workflow improvements. The position also offers hands-on experience in post-processing and opportunities to participate in outreach events and collaborate with different departments. The role is primarily onsite, with an expectation of attending onsite four to five days per week. The assignment is full-time for six months, from April 2027 through September 2027. Applicants must be pursuing a relevant degree, currently enrolled in an academic program, and returning to university after the co-op to complete graduation credit requirements.
