The 340B Program Coordinator supports pharmacy services by maintaining compliance with all 340B regulations and by ensuring medication rebates are submitted in a timely manner and rebates are received. The 340B Program Coordinator will perform audits on prescriptions dispensed and clinical administered drugs to ensure compliance with 340B regulations. They will work with contract pharmacies to ensure adherence to all regulations and requirements outlined in the contract and by the 340B program. This role will also assist with and perform insurance pharmacy audits, order clinical administered drugs for Sunrise clinics, maintain the formulary, and help maintain Flexscan drug files. Additionally, the coordinator will assist with troubleshooting Flexscan-related errors, monitor and fix errors on the Flexscan error log, and submit required pharmacy data to the Beacon 340B rebate platform, monitoring for errors or rejected claims. Ensuring timely receipt of all rebate payments and managing MFP medication inventories are also key responsibilities. The role involves assisting healthcare providers and patients by greeting them, answering questions, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist. They will use appropriate telephone skills, respond to calls not requiring pharmacist attention, and assist patients with prescription drop-offs. The coordinator will process prescriptions by entering patient and insurance information into a computer, complete transactions upon pickup, collect copays, and counsel patients on account balances. They will input prescription/refill data, create/update patient profiles, and accurately set up third-party billing. Data entry for all medical/dental patients requesting medication assistance is required, along with advocating for patients facing barriers to receiving medication and informing them of any delays. Demonstrating knowledge of Sunrise Community Health programs is essential. Maintaining pharmacy inventory involves checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, stocking accurately, and removing outdated drugs. Medications will be organized for pharmacist dispensing by reading orders, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling solutions. The role includes completing credit returns and manual returns for Colorado Medicaid DME, following up on pharmacy assistance program approvals/denials, and determining/explaining eligibility for financial programs. Monthly compilation of pharmaceutical program data and report preparation are also part of the duties. Compliance with all 340B Policies and Procedures during medication dispensing is mandatory. Monitoring text messages for grab-and-go orders, completing transactions, and delivering prescriptions to cars are required. Administering vaccines and documenting them appropriately are also responsibilities. The position requires completing 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years and assisting in the PAS department as needed. Other duties as assigned.
