About The Position

As a member of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies, SpartanNash is a food solutions company that distributes grocery and household goods through a global supply chain network. The 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate works in the cigarette room at the Bellefontaine Distribution Center, performing tasks including selecting, working on a stamp line, packing, loading trucks from a conveyor, and making boxes. The associate is accountable for meeting productivity, accuracy, and safety work standards.

The position is part time, 25–32 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. Pay is $18.75. Employees must also be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and assigned, and work shifts of 8–10 hours as assigned. The role is in a warehouse environment, with possible exposure to varying temperature and humidity and moderate-to-high noise. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, with assistance as needed.
• Ability to perform the physical activities described for the role, including frequent sitting, walking, standing, handling, grasping, twisting, operating foot controls, crouching, kneeling, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to work in the specified warehouse conditions for assigned 8–10-hour shifts.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and assigned.

Responsibilities

• Complete selection orders by picking piece items according to company standards.
• Lift products weighing between 30 and 60 pounds while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Work on a stamp line, stamping or packing products.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by disposing of pallet boards, wood chips, and other trash, and promptly cleaning broken cases according to safety guidelines.
• Report damaged products and quality issues, and notify a supervisor about out-of-stock or low-volume products.
• Participate in product rotation, move products to dock areas, and perform other duties as assigned.
