Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a U.S. college or university, with preference for students entering their junior or senior year.
  • Concentrations in Communications, Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration, or related field with at least one Accounting class.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Leadership, extra-curricular, or volunteering experience skills with a passion for results.
  • You must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S. now and in the future to participate in Wintrust’s Internship Program.
  • Due to the high volume of applicants we receive, we do not offer immigration sponsorship (including OPT and CPT) for this program.

Responsibilities

  • Communications: Support planning for, creation & launch of Community Impact Report, collect testimonials from employees, community members & customers, develop collateral for internal & external audiences.
  • Portfolio: Maintain records for partner organizations including contact info, board rep (if applicable), collateral needed, upcoming events.
  • Volunteerism & Events : Support event creation & communication, utilize volunteer software system to manage events & pull reports, train others on using volunteer platform. Attend events as needed.
  • Metrics & Market Analysis: Gather partner metrics, collect, analyze and monitor internal data collection (volunteer hours, employees on nonprofit boards, financial data). Benchmark competitors and leaders in the space for work in CSR reports & overall communications, Financial Education research as needed.
  • Administrative: Assist with invoice processing, Employee Match reporting and other tasks as needed.
  • Participate in intern program activities, events, and development opportunities with your cohort.
