2026 Canon Insights Summer Internship - New Business Development and Product Planning Intern
About The Position
This internship opportunity is exclusively available to graduate students currently enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University who participated in Canon's 2026 Capstone Project. The program will be held from Monday, June 1, 2026 - Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Canon is an innovative global digital imaging leader that uses technology to dissolve the barriers we face in the connections we build, the experiences we create, and even the lives we live. We are looking for passionate and experienced students to join the Canon USA team. This is a paid summer internship 10-week robust experience based in our Melville, New York Headquarters.
Requirements
- Enrolled graduate student, pursuing a Master's degree aligned with the department of interest.
- Strong communicator—both written and verbal—with advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Chat, Calendar and Drive).
- Ability to thrive as a collaborative team player while also working independently with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- All applicants must reside in the United States at the time of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Business, Design, or Technology-related disciplines (e.g., Integrated Innovation, Business Psychology).
- Participant/Experience in the Carnegie Mellon University Capstone Project.
- Strong strategy, UX/research background.
- Experience with frameworks like customer journeys and service blueprinting.
Responsibilities
- Develop the Starter Kit for the EOS Webcam Utility Pro.
- Revamp the product web pages.
- Software enhancements/improvements based on the capstone thesis.
