About The Position
The Certified Sterile Processing Technician, under the direction of the unit charge nurse, collects, cleans, disinfects, inspects and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment. Maintains code carts, chest carts, urology carts. Cleans hospital wide equipment as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certification in either central service or surgery technology
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Completion of formal central service technician or surgery technologist program
Nice To Haves
- Previous central service, surgery, or patient care work experience is desirable
Responsibilities
