About The Position
Altercare Summit Acres is seeking an RN or LPN Alzheimer’s Program Coordinator for their specialized, secure unit. This role involves delivering programming with and through STNAs to enrich the lives of residents, touching their lives clinically, emotionally, and spiritually. Altercare is in the business of serving people, and having excellent, dedicated employees ensures that residents at their facilities receive the best care possible.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Ohio License.
- Prior experience working in a skilled nursing, long-term care or geriatric setting preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia appreciated.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in development and facilitation of activity program preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise all aspects of care and programming for dementia residents.
- Design and implement creative activities for dementia residents.
- Develop care plans and perform assessments.
- Conduct resident screenings and family interviews.
