About The Position

Requirements

• Associate level degree - Occupational Therapy Assistant (Certificate, Diploma or degree from an accredited school required.
• Current licensure in the state of Virginia or North Carolina, as applicable, and current National Board Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (NBCOT)
• Basic Life Safety (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Administer occupational therapy treatments and procedures under supervision of an Occupational therapist.
• Assist in the development of treatment plans.
• Carry out routine functions.
• Document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by an Occupational therapist.
• Provide age appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
• Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
