Medical Assistant

DelRicht ResearchCharleston, SC
Onsite

About The Position

DelRicht Research is seeking a full-time, onsite, patient-facing Medical Assistant to join our Charleston clinic. This role is a strong fit for someone with professional experience who is ready for a next step: owning patient-facing clinical research work, helping the clinic run smoothly, and growing toward future leadership opportunities as the site expands. You’ll work closely with the clinic team to support study visits, follow protocols, communicate clearly across stakeholders, and help ensure patients have an organized, positive experience. We’re looking for someone who can learn quickly, adapt in a changing environment, and step up with confidence when the team needs direction. This is an opportunity to join a growing clinic with room to take ownership and build a longer-term path into leadership. For someone who may feel capped in their current role, this position offers a path to keep growing without losing the patient-facing aspect of the work.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional experience
  • Strong communication skills and sound judgment in fast-moving or uncertain situations
  • A decisive, solutions-oriented approach and willingness to step up when needed
  • High attention to detail and ability to stay organized across competing priorities
  • Ability to quickly learn protocols, systems, and clinical workflows
  • Interest in growing into a leadership role over time
  • A collaborative, patient-focused mindset

  • Complete patient visits accurately and efficiently, with close adherence to clinical trial protocols and site expectations.
  • Support patient recruitment, screening, and enrollment activities with a strong focus on follow-through.
  • Guide patients through the study journey to help ensure they attend and complete required visits.
  • Enter clinical and visit data timely and accurately into required systems and documentation platforms.
  • Prepare for and execute upcoming study volume, including vaccine-related trials, smoothly.
  • Provide clear, timely communication to internal teammates, patients, and cross-functional partners.
  • Escalate issues appropriately, while handling decisions independently when appropriate.
  • Keep daily clinic operations organized across competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Contribute to the broader team through strong prioritization, attention to detail, and confident decision-making.
