About The Position

Iowa's News Now is looking for an Investigative Reporter/MMJ. We are looking for someone who can dig deeper into stories turning 2 to 3 pieces a week. This position requires close communication with the news director.

Requirements

  • Sharp news judgment
  • The ability to tell an NPPA style story
  • Excellent technical skills
  • The ability to work well independently
  • Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record
  • A minimum of 2-3 years reporting experience
  • Experience with live shots is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Reporting, shooting and editing news stories
  • Enterprising story ideas
  • Developing contacts
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
